How FairHatch works
Fair by construction, not by promise.
The life of a launch
Create
One transaction mints a fixed supply and opens a bonding curve. The creator receives no tokens.
Trade on the curve
Buys and sells run against the curve, which sets the price from what has been sold. There is no order book and no pool yet.
Graduate
When the curve sells out, 20% of the supply and the WETH (test) raised are paired into a pool and the position is locked. Trading continues there.
After graduation
The curve fee no longer applies. The token trades at the pool's own fee, and FairHatch earns only its share of what the locked position collects.
What we claim, and what it does not cover
EvidenceThe factory rejects any nonzero creator allocation, at the contract, in the reference model and in the API schema. A creator who wants tokens buys them on the curve at the same price as everybody else.
Still trueA creator can still buy early and sell later, and the first buy runs inside the create transaction. That is a purchase at the opening price, not a grant, and it is capped — but it is still an early position.
EvidenceAt graduation 20% of the supply and the WETH (test) raised are paired into a pool, and the position is minted and held by a vault the launch cannot withdraw from.
Still trueLocked liquidity does not make a token valuable or its price stable. It means the pool cannot be emptied by whoever launched it, and nothing more.
EvidenceThe split is set when the launch is created and cannot be changed afterwards, by the creator or by us. The fee page works it through on a real amount.
Still trueA launch created on this site has both fees at 0.5%. Anyone can also create on testnet-1's factory directly with fees up to 2%, so check the fee in the review before you trade.
EvidencePrices and volumes are computed from indexed trades, and the verify page shows which block each figure came from and how settled that block is.
Still trueThe reader runs a few seconds behind the chain; prices and market caps are in WETH (test), which has no value and no price in dollars; and the art drawn where a list does not load a token's picture is a placeholder, which is marked. A token's name and symbol are its own, as its contract returns them, and a name is not an identity: the address is.
Before you trade anything
- Names, symbols and pictures can be copied. Check the token address.
- Nothing here has value. A price on this site is in WETH (test), and shows how the mechanism works, not what anything is worth.
- Liquidity can be thin, and a price can move a long way on a small trade.
- A quote is an estimate from indexed state, not a promise about what will execute.
